This is getting to be a habit...

  • Dec. 10th, 2007 at 9:56 PM

I forgot my password again. Then the website blocked me from logging on... I'm not really a fan of this LJ thing... I am hopeless when it comes to keeping this stuff straight...
Sigh...

Wow- long time no see....

  • Apr. 25th, 2007 at 9:05 PM

Ummmm... I sort of forgot my password, and I have been very busy with the faire season just around the corner. This is the first time in a while that school hasn't gotten in the way of my writing. Speaking of writing, except for school papers (bleh...) not much writing going on in this section of paradise. We are steadily packing our lives into crates and boxes to be moved to our new address. We take possession on the 15th of June. We are hoping to be totally packed before then. Unlikely, but everyone has to have some hope. :) My problem is everytime I pack something, a day or two later I need it again. That's the story of my life- with finals just around the corner, and faire sneaking in, I have no real chance of actually packing anything until the night before we move. :)

Anyways, that's the update. Panic and general disorder...

New Orders

  • Jan. 16th, 2007 at 10:04 PM

These are the new additions to the ever growing collection of gaming books...
I am so happy to be able to locate this stuff again. I thought I had lost everything in the fire. Then when they quit printing the old world of darkness stuff I freaked out.
But... Here's the list:

Book of the Wyrm
Werewolf Storyteller's Handbook
Outcastes: a Players guide to Pariahs (Werewolf Sourcebook)
Werewolf Tribebook: Children of Gaia
Vampire Storyteller's Companion
Kinfolk: Unsung Heroes (Werewolf Sourcebook)
Havens of the Damned
Werewolf Tribebook: Shadow Lords

I think that I have a new hobby. Hunting down these books is fun... I have a wish list that is as long as I am tall.

The Coolness is arriving!!!!

The first part of my order from Amazon.com arrived this morning.
I have ordered like... 15 books from them... Some Rennie stuff... Some RPG stuff that I haven't been able to locate anywhere else... That and I love paying ony $0.65 for a $20 book... NEW. :)
Changeling the Dreaming came in today... The Player's guide should be arriving Friday or Saturday...
Then just a week or two later... the goodies really begin to arrive. (Yay for free shipping.)
I bought
Tudor Tailor
Tudor and Elizabethan Fashions (History of Fashion)
Full-Color Sourcebook of French Fashion: 15th to 19th Centuries
Tudor Costume and Fashion
Vampire The Masquerade Redemption
World of Darkness: Sorcerer: The Hedge Wizard's Handbook

Winter is Finally Starting

  • Nov. 30th, 2006 at 5:06 AM

Brrr....
That's my imput :) I don't know about everyone else but I am not too eager to go to school and work in the morning... Then again- maybe we'll be lucky and the wind will blow Valvoline down. lol.

My house is being cleaned as well. We just bought new furniture stuff for the livingroom and soooo... No sense putting nice furniture into a dirty house and all that good stuff.

I can't wait to give mom her present this year! I bought her a glider rocker (she's wanted one for almost 20 years) It's a very nice one- leather and a footrest that glides as well. And to top it all off.... It even MATCHES our new furniture. (It's a difficult thing to do with our living room- it's done in oranges and reds. Our couches are terra cotta... lol)
Me very excited.
As for dad- well he never ever gives me a hint as to what he wants- I'll have to get mom to help me plot against him. (Evil cackle)

I was thinking about having some sort of pre-Yule get together. I am not sure about how well it would be recieved though- I was thinking about inviting the girls from Thursday classes and such- but it's a pretty long drive for most of them... Imput anyone?

You are The Lovers

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

Flight Attendant

  • Nov. 21st, 2006 at 4:24 AM

I recieved this joke through the email and thought it was hilarious...

"My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who
seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.

As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and
told us that "Captain Marvey has
asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane
shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that
would be super."

On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed this well-dressed and
rather
Arabic looking woman hadn't
moved a muscle. "Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute
engines but I asked you to raise your
trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground."

She calmly turned her head and said, "In my country, I am called a
Princess and I take orders from no one."

To which (I swear) the flight attendant replied, without missing a
beat, "Well, sweet- cheeks, in my
country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray-up, Bitch."

Not a good year... ACKK!!

What sort of key are you and what do you unlock?

You are a stone key, and you unlock old and magical secrets. What you have to offer is powerful and difficult for many to understand, but invaluable to the few who can truly grasp it. Give the things you have carefully and wisely, because not everyone will use them for good.

A Poem...

  • Nov. 13th, 2006 at 4:11 AM

I wrote this a little while ago. It is kinda sad- but, yes, I write poetry as well as stories. lol.

Rainfall

The first touch of rain
Drizzles down
Devastating in its simplicity
Without reason
Freedom- falling motion- to be
Lost as- SPLAT!
It hits the pavement.
Eyes closed
Head tilted back- enjoying
The feel of
A lover’s touch- tracing cheek
-Rainfall-
And eyes and neck
-Remembering-
Tears join the rain on face
And pavement
And my shoulders shake with
The memory
As I sit drenched in thought
And rain.

Anyone out there?

  • Nov. 13th, 2006 at 4:04 AM

I am still figuring out this LJ thing. It seems to be a little more involved than I had first thought.
My life it seems is at a standstill. Waiting, Waiting, Waiting. The world seems to be holding it's breath. I am moving forward by inches.
I guess I am "in a mood" (as my mother would say). They don't strike often, but when they do... They surprisingly seem to strike only after conversations with my ex/ best friend. (I know it was a bad combination.)
I am going to have to post up some of my short stories or something. Maybe that will cheer me up...
Say- are there any other Lyonites out there?

What does this button do?

  • Nov. 10th, 2006 at 5:59 AM

Ok, ok, I am here now... It only took me a week or two to figure this thing out... The internet kept booting me out. :(
This is sort of a test message, to see if this thingie works.
